Chairman’s view: 

As Chairman of Newport RFC, it is both an honour and a privilege to represent a club that is so deeply rooted in the heart of our parish and community. Newport is more than just a place
we are a proud close-knit town with a long-standing tradition of volunteering, teamwork, and pride in our local clubs. Newport RFC stands as a reflection of that spirit.
Our home in Rockvale Park is more than just a pitch it's our gathering place, our battleground, our training ground, and above all, our home. It's where lifelong friendships are
formed, where young players take their first steps in rugby, and where unforgettable memories are made under the lights, in the mud, and with the roar of our supporters behind
us.

Newport RFC is built on the shoulders of a community of players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters who all share a deep love of the game and the values it teaches teamwork, respect,
commitment, and resilience. These values are not just learned on the pitch they echo through our parish, shaping young people and connecting generations. From our smallest stars in the Under 6s, learning to pass a ball and share a laugh, right up through our thriving underage teams, and on to our Junior team, every squad carries with them the same passion, pride, and love for the jersey. Each age group represents the future of our club, and each player, no matter their level, is part of something bigger than themselves.
Our coaches give their time, energy, and experience not for reward, but because they believe in the power of sport to shape lives. Our volunteers keep the club running, the pitch ready,
and the jerseys clean. And our supporters bring the heart the cheers, the encouragement, and the never-ending belief in our teams.

As we look ahead to a new season, I want to thank everyone who gives their time and energy to Newport RFC. Together, we are not just building a rugby club we are strengthening a
community, inspiring young people, and honouring the proud tradition of our town.
